Re: How to clean Eheim hoses?

If you really want to start clean, you can order replacement hoses from BigAls.  At $.49 to $2.49 per foot for the different sizes it's really not expensive if you're already ordering something else.

Better to just get the Eheim hose cleaning brushes and the brush on a line, way cheaper.

How about the good ole weed eater string with old cloth tied off to it. I made one and it works very well. Just my 2 cents.

Get the metal rods that hold up the false ceilings. I seen them at Lowes today. Attach the bristle brush you get at the LFS. It will be long enough to push & twist & pull it back throu the hose. The rod is bendable so you can make a loop in one end to hold the bristle brush
I have been using this method for years now & only had to replace the bristle brush one time.
