  • Fish Foods to avoid?

Has anyone ever had a bad experience with certain fish food that caused any type of algae to grow? Just curious, I know some of the foods out there have phosphates in them, and I alway avoid those.

    Thanks

The only time I've had issues with fish food causing algae was if I overfed.

Some foods are definitely better than others. For the most part, finding a formula that is right for your fish is as simple as reading the front label. If you have cichlids, find a can that is designed for cichlids.

NLS (New Life Spectrum) and Dianichi are some of the best foods, but anything can be bad if you overfeed.
