my black knife wants plants

i have a black ghost knife and wanting to know if they perfer a certain kind of plant or will anything do.... and will the plants continue to grow once i buy them

The only type of plant that will not grow after you buy it is a fake plant. With that said , some will do better than others. What type of lights and substrate do you have? What are the knife's tankmates? I'll let you have some different types of plants if you want to try them out.

i have a 42 inch flora-glo bulb.... thats as much info as i can give u on my lighting and, as far as substrate whatever you have for me tomorrow if we meet up. and he has a small tiger Oscar as a tank mate. i was told that amazon sward would be a nice choice for him and i would be real gratefully for the plants as well

that oscar will rip up the plants just as quick as you can put them in there. if you want to make you Ghost happy, get him a couple of lengths of pvc pipe.

+1 . . .perhaps anubius or java fern will work.

I'm not sure how oscars will get along with knifes long term.

i already have some PVC pipe in there but he is always hiding in it.. i read that some plants would catch his attention and he would come out more often... and my oscar is still very small about an inch long how long untill he starts tearing the plants apart... and are there any plants that he would not tear apart?

i have seen a few tanks with both a knife and several oscars... at the first sign of trouble I'm giving away the Oscar the ghost is my favorite
