I did a water test with some jungle test strips...and I received
0 nitrate 0 nitrite but 3 ppm ammonia...is that possible...well apparently it is because it is happening in my tank...I also have Ammo lock in the water what is going on in my tank

Yes, it's possible. But quite bad for the fish in there. It just means you've started your cycle all over again. Keep doing water changes - it might slow down the cycle, but having your fish live through it is more important, in my opinion.

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Hmmm okay then the fish in the tank are surviving like crazy then...how often should do a wc during the re-cycle.

If I were you, I would do small daily water changes. How long has the tank been up? That level of ammonia is straight poison to the fish. I'm surprised you haven't seen any ill effects so far. Any idea what might have caused the tank to cycle?

The tank has been setup for a month now...my cycle was quick but I had to put in a different filter so I am guessing that was it
