lol the catfish is about 8 inches long and his tanks makes would be a 5 inch jack dempsey and a 2 inch yellow lab
The JD will be fine as long as there are hiding spaces for the catfish. That yellow lab MAY be ok, but I would not bet money on it. The lab is feisty and has attitude in his favor, but the catfish has a big mouth and appetite.
Stay away from feeders. Bullheads are NOT fussy eaters, so regular aquarium foods will be just fine. Try some stinky NLS Thera A pellets, since it supposedly help with parasites that he may be carrying.
i, having experienced there massive appetites, would hesitate to put him with other fish, unless the other fish are going to keep up growth wise.
but it will probably be ok for the time being.
WTh would the catfish have to hide? instead of the JD?
The catfish may get picked on by the JD, and his scaleless skin would be prone to damage while he is adjusting in the tank. Later, I'm sure he'll stand his ground.
