im havin issues with my flowerhorns in a community setting... im growing some out with juvie jack dempseys, texas cichlids, etc... problem is, when they get big enough, they will try to take over the tank... i seperated 2 of em and put em in solitary... i lost 2 baddass fish to my badboy fh... i have seen it done before though, but ive had no luck

nah, if i were to get one, it would have the 75g to itself.
but i dont want that, i will probably go with a communtiy setting like my 125g.
i have a male geo bras coming sometime this weekend:)

i have had just about every species of geophagus and gymnogeophagus that is available to the hobby, i have even had Satanoperca auticeps, retrocilous xinguensis, retroculous lapidifer, and satanoperca daemon, and have raised them all successfully.

i am however getting a geophagus sp. bahia red male and a geophagus steindachneri(red hump geo) for this tank, also if i can find a geophagus iporangensis, and geophagus crassiliberas(sp?) i will add those. and maybe some red hook silver dollars, and a school of 8-12 buenos aires tetras.

yep, i have a large male Geohagus Bahia Red coming, and i am going to go pickup a Nice Male Red Hump Geophagus, and i am gunna try and find a Geophagus Iporangensis Pair, and a male Geophagus Crassiliberas(sp?).
also for dithers i plan on around 12 Buenos Aires Tetras and 3 Red Hook Silver Dollars.

also, i plan on stocking it with LF Bristle Nose Plecos, i am picking up an Albino, Brown, and Calico ASAP.
for filtration i am running -

1x Eheim Classic 2217 Canister Filter
1x Eheim Pro 2224 Canister Filter
and 1x Oddysea 550 PowerHead w/ Pre-filter
i will have pfs for substrate
and i am gunna add a Coralife 48" Dual Bulb T5 Light.

also i am gunna find some nice driftwood.
so it is pretty much a work in progress.
