8 ft 300g South America. Build

Little update on my 300g geophagus tank. Current stock includes 8 Rio tapajos, 14 heckelii, 2 winemilleri, 2 adult altifrons, 1 neambi, about 40 orange lazer/ green emerald cory hybrids, 75 lemon tetras, 2 retroculus, 1 green phantom, 1 starry night pleco, and 1 inspector pleco.

Growing out 7 more winemilleri, 5 altifrons, 1 retroculus. Also have 20 newly free swimming tapajos just moved into a 5g.

My grow out 40b. Hard to tell but there's about 40 corys, 5 altifron, 7 winemilleri, apisto trio, retroculus, and a few albino plecos.

Update: rescaped with 250lb of river boulder and redid wood. Still has some work to go but getting there. Also playing around with some lighting. https://vimeo.com/139997915

Thank you. It's actually the flashlight app on my phone. Looking to get a permanent fixture that will create the same effect.

try out a few 5w flood lamps on ebay should be cheap and do the same

Yes going to do a 5w flood for the moonlight/morning light. 3 20w lamps for daylight viewing. I think I will attach to the wall and angle them into the tank and loose the canopy. If not attached to the canopy. Will test them out

Changed up the lighting to two flood lights. Still going strong.

Was too bright. This is much more subtle. And it gives some awesome shimmer
