Good morning. I have posted several photo albums of my South American Discus Community... Today I am posting a couple of pictures of my largest dominate male... I call him Big Blue.
He is a Blue Scorpion whom I have grown out to between 6-7 inches. Notice the long fin growth on backside of dorsal fin. I have 12 Discus in my 150G and I have 4 pairs that spawn... They seem to pair bond and stay together although I did have my other large Blue Scorpion male try to switch partners... I had some drama for a while but my smaller Blue Diamond never backed down...
Please tell me your thoughts on this fish. I am going to attend the North American Discus Association (NADA) show in Austin next weekend and see what I can learn from the pros. I am on another Discus only forum... most avid Discus folks prefer bare tanks and no other species. After a year I have a very stable SA community with Rams, Apistos, Cardinals, Rummys, Hatchets, Corys and a Pleco... would not do it any other way...
P.S. - third pic is of my newborn Discus wigglers...
