  • Schooling Fun in South American Discus Community

I was enjoying watching my Discus community tank with all the fun Rummy Nose Tetra schooling activities tonight so I recorded a couple of videos I am sharing...

Here is an updated photo of the tank... video links are after the image...

Notice how the Rummy Nose Tetra swim back and forth avoiding the larger Discus and Geophagus cichlids... cool capture of a little piece of nature... BTW - the Geophagus spawned after my weekend WC... this is why they are a little protective of lower right side of the enclosure (Tank) LOL... Also my BDs are spawning every week... sure wish they could succeed by I know its highly unlikely in a community biotype environment... buy they don't know that yet...

I love the way they school up. I use to have over 40 neons in my big tank but the large fish started making snacks out of them. now I have zero.

You have an aswesome tank. Love it. I am in the process of making a discus tank. Currently growing out my 24 Wild Caught Neon Tetras, they are small and will be a snack for a discus.
