    Good evening...

I took a few additional photos and videos tonight when I got home from work. I enjoyed the warm greetings from the community letting me know they were ready to eat...

Also, the last picture is of my mechanical plant... or mini waste water treatment plant. I looks like a mess but there is a method to the madness that the pictures don’t display… all tubes are wrapped with velcro in the back so they travel from the mechanical room to the top of tanke in two single flow lines… the room that contains:

1.) Fluval FX6 that has sponge, Biomax, and some activated carbon levels... still need to add some additional bio filtration. Intake is at the bottom right corner of tank and that return is upper left corner pushing both up toward center creating surface agitation and downward toward the lower left side of the tank.

2.) Eheim 2217 that has been converted to 100% bio-filtration using a full canister of standard Eheim media and some floss and it pushes water through two CoralLife 9W UV Sterilizers that are connected together. Intake is lower left corner and return is at the upper right no spray bar.

3.) Eheim 2215 that is 100% chemical filtration with 5 ChemiPure Elite bags including standard Eheim ceramic and sponge at bottom and floss above the ChemiPure. Intake is middle left corner and return is at the upper right no spray bar.

4.) Eheim 2215 that is 100% bio filtration with standard Eheim media no carbon. Intake is at the upper left corner and the return is at the upper right no spray bar.

5.) Eheim 2215 configured with 5 Eheim blue sponges and ceramics at the bottom... floss at the top. Intake is at the middle left corner and the return is at the upper right no spray bar.
6.) One 10G quarantine tank with a bare bottom and an Eheim 2211 bio filtration system.

The water stays crystal clear and temp is maintained between 86.5 and 87.3F. I perform a 50G water change once a week and the tank size is 150G. The Discus are always healthy and everyone is happy. I have been holding out for Fire Red Discus to complete my set. I have decided to add three more Blue Diamond Discus, trading in one Yellow Sunrise that has become orange. This would provide me 4 Blue Diamond, One Cobalt Blue with red patterns, One Red and Blue Super Eruption and One Golden Sunrise with 5 Trapajos. Once I know the gender of the Trapajos, I intend to weed down to 3… one male and three females. Right now I have 5 total. I will weed out my remaining Rams and the Red Eye Tetras keeing the Hatchets on the surface and the 3 exotic Plecos on the bottom… Then at that point I plan to increase my mid level schools by adding to the 12 Cardinals or but not both… adding to my 5 Rummys… these guys are not as pretty at the Cardinals but that are so much more active and as such, I suspect a large school would be quite interesting. Last comment… I will keep my aquascape intact as is for about a year. At that point I will redo it and then come back and compete on the TOTM contest… I put pictures on October TOTM but did not get a lot of reaction… I am just a one year beginner but have been passively observing Fish Gallery displays and ADG displays… maybe next year I can improve my display.

Dude, Your tank is fantastic. You have great looking fish. Your driftwood is one of the coolest I seen.
The Tank of the Month is just for fun. Don't take it all that serious. Salt and planted tanks are hard to beat. With their brite colors. Your tank is more natural for the fish in the tank.

Hey thanks guys. I love my tank but I know I will change it at some point anyways. What I enjoy most is the DIY engineering. The reason I have so many filters which I'm using is to make peace with my costs to date. I started with an 8 gallon community nano the a 37 gallon the a 60 gallon and now one 150g. I've done everything from mixture species from many biotypes to african cichlids all in one year. I am happy with current tank but still learning. All this progression in one year. Been to most every LFS in Texas. Thank goodness for opportunity to trade fish. FG.
