Local GBRs

Hey all,

Has anyone seen tank raised GBRs in any of our local stores? I'd also be interested in locally raised Apistos if anyone is aware of someone stocking them. Looking for a pair.

Pet smart has Blue Rams but I think they are wild. They spawn in my tank. they gard their egg fearlessly but they never hatch...
Fish land, Fish Gallery. Exstreme fish and pets will have them from time to time...

I saw some at Pet Smart, and they were acting fairly healthy, but I'll be honest that I do not trust myself nor most of the people working at Pet Smart to sex a fish for me Fish Gallery had some as well, but as far as the person helping me could tell, they were all females, so I held off. Thanks!

City Pets sometimes has them along with electric blue...dont know how long they have acclimated though. i havent come across any local breeders around town yet.

Houston Aquatics on N Shepherd has some. Petsmart also has some Double Red Apisto's along with some Bolivian Rams, as well as the GBR that Troy mentioned. Every 3 month's they introduce "speciality" fish and I think the Apisto's are one of the latest introductions; I have seen them off and on for the past month. Maybe you could try calling and speaking with the Aquatic's mgr about which employee would be best to select a pair for you and go during their shift?
