I'd go with one of the importers in the sponsor section like Kenny Cheung (Kenny's Discus) or Hans (Discus Hans). They have hundreds of happy customers, including me! Also, check out the selection locally at Houston Aquarium Warehouse-Luke -
You should buy locally. Houston has some good local breeders and HAW.Comment

Don't buy discus from City Pets. Every time I have gone, their discus have not been in good shape. HAW and Fish Ranch II are the only LFS in Houston I have seen with healthy stock. The domestic discus i bought are from pet city, two of my wild tefe greens i bought from snookin21 who is in florida and aquabid.com, and my wild uatuma blues i ordered from ultimate fish who currently have 4 wilds in stock which all have good shape and eat good. you can see my discus in my posts in the discus section. i will make an update soon as well.Comment

NEVER NEVER order from RFI!!!
They are piece of (*^*%^***$#!!!!
I reccomend locally (HAW) where you can go pick it out yourself.
The only other place that i would reccomend for show quality discus is Mike Beals http://centralohiodiscus.com/
But if you want the regular bread and butter discus, most LFSs here have em.Comment

i have only ordered from DISCUS HANS.. great selection,
as does Kenny's Discus out of California..
i have seen mike beals spotted fish.. and they are amazing.. his Penang eruptions are fantastic!!Comment
