Elvis is a saltwater Stars & Stripes puffer, he has grown 5-6 inches in a year.
Annabelle is a freshwater Fahaka puffer, she has grown about 4" in 4 months.

Here's a quote from someone that owns a couple of Mbu's
small mbus will grow at up to 1" a month so within a year
you can easilly have a foot long puffer in a year! youll find after that they grow fairly slowly about 3" in 6 months.

Pictures of Annabelle are in the post Annabelle's Story:
Freshwater Puffers, Brackishwater Puffers, Saltwater Puffers. No matter what kind of puffer you have, share your stories here.

Thanks for linking that. How is she doing now? Do all puffers hide in the sand like that, or just Fahakas?

12 inches the first year, that's not bad. As long as it slows it roll after that! It'll give me a chance to slowly upgrade his tank size. I like big fishes my flowerhorn is about 7-8 inches now, i expect him to get about 12 inches.

I'll have to answer that in the next few days. Other symptoms have come up and I'm keeping a diary on her. I'm starting a new treatment tomorrow, it's very harsh and I'll be keeping a close eye on her. I'll send you a link from another forum that you can read. It's pretty long, it has updates and pictures.
