try something cheap first to see how they react...
I agree! no need to spend a bunch of mony of fish food.

one thing I have read countless times... "ray's eyes look like snails protruding from the sand".

Plus there are no legal fw species of rays available to the great state of Tejas.
Didn't know that. they would bite the rays eyes out...

We do find salt water rays in brackish water. but not a good idea if L&L try to bite out their eyes.

        Flounder maybe the better choise.

atlantic rays are the ones that start in fresh but need salt to thrive from what I gathered.

Supposedly some of the more aggressive though and probably wouldn't be too happy in a 20g.

The Ray is out. Even if they go in my 55g the Ray would outgrow it fast. I'm going to see if I can catch some small flounder next time we go to the Bay. some times at night you can catch little ones with your hands in shallow water. it would take about 8 week to get them to be in brackish water I think...

I don't know anything about figure 8 puffers but they will either ignore them, try to eat them, or be friends with them lol

I'm fixing up their new tank. Its a 40g hex. filter sand and saltwater scape. I moved L&L to one of the angel tanks. they are doing well and so are all the other fish. Moving to new tank soon...
