Re: uv sterilizer
You need to look at Nutrients/Flow/Lighting/Co2...there is a balance between those which should help you with your algae problem....with the UV it could or could not help but seeing as though it will only nuke the spores that actually go through it you will still have algae....won't spread but probably won't go away.700g Mini-Monster tank

Re: uv sterilizer
That looks familiar
Do a search through google....or check out rexgrigg.com. You need to check pH against KH and there's a chart that will help you....it's not accurate this way but you probably don't have much choice. A better way is to get a drop checker through ADA or Ebay and use 4KH water in the checker and allow it to change colors for you to tell.700g Mini-Monster tank

Re: uv sterilizer
That was my old set up.
As for the drop checker....city pets carries ADA products, ADGshop.com has it and you can request local pick up when checking out and fish gallery has it but you can probably get it shipped from adg locally for much less.
You are gonna need to make/buy 4/5kh water though to get a proper reading.700g Mini-Monster tank
