i bought 15 the other day at city pets all made it home alive.. next morning two were dead.. all survived the next day.. then i wake up this morning and 7 are dead...... GRRRR!

I have to agree with ek, Ricky. If your tank is cycled and your acclimation procedure is adequate, then there has to be something in the water that's killing the shrimp. I have amanos in my 125 gal discus tank that are 5 yrs old. The new ones I added 5 months ago are doing well too. The tank is at 86 F and has CO2 injection to 25 ppm. Neither of those parameters are desireable for amanos, according to the invert purists, but my shrimp don't seem to know that they're not supposed to like those conditions.

I have come to find that amano's are some of the hardier shrimp you can get.....I have switched them from my co2 injected, low pH planted tanks right over to my high pH cichlid tanks with zero problems.

i saw the gourami nipping at the shrimp this morning.. she only picks on the smaller shrimp.. so i found my culprit.. the water is perfect and i tested for copper the other day with a 0 as a result. so i figured it was a fish killing the shrimp.
