  • My new planted tank

Hey everyone.  New guy here... this is my new planted tank.  If you have any suggestions,
let me know what you think.  It is a really simple layout as I don't have any experience
doing complex planted tanks...mainly fish tanks.  I wanted to try the whole ADA system to
see how well it really works.

I'm using 125 watts of 6700K light for 8 hrs a day with pressurized C02.  Also using
ADA Amazonia with Powersand Special and Tourmaline BC.  The liquid ferts I'm using
at the moment are Brighty K, Green Brighty Step 1, and Green Bacter to help with cycling.
I'm also doing 50% water changes daily and hopefully won't run into any serious algae problems!

The plants are from Dan at Houston Aquarium Warehouse.

Let me know what you think!

    Jeff

I will have to add that the tank suffers from the "Wall" scape

                Thanks for the feedback guys.

thomas - The wood is from Fish Gallery.  My fish will most likely come from them too.

eklikewhoa - I see what you mean by wall scape.  Hopefully I can get off work to see the
presentation by Luis Navarro later this month, and get some ideas from some of the local plant
gurus.  And I need to look closer at my ADA layout books for ideas.
