Just do Riccia and tie them down to a bunch of stones. City Pets did the same exact thing.

I did and it's working well. No die off, but it hasn't grown either, but I think a lot of that is due to the fact that I have low lights and the only supplements I'm currently using is Flourish.

Did you ever get around to getting any dwarf hair grass? I just ordered three what i hope to be somewhat large mats of this off amazon the other day haven't received it yet but wanted to see if you had gotten any and if so how is it working out for you? They are supposed to be the size of dvd boxes but I am pessimistic at best. I am trying to carpet my 55 gallon and my 10 gallon.

+1 DHG does wonders in low light applications. I've also seen people attempt a java moss carpet.

    Low light carpeting plants

I'm looking for suggestions for plants that tolerate low light that I can get a carpet like effect. It doesn't have to be a carpeting plant, just one that will give a carpet like effect and tolerates lower light levels....maybe a moss?
Working...
