Making a thread here for you guys to talk about carpets, etc., so my for sale thread doesn't get flooded with chatter. Plus we'll get post count

Amirk, the very few anubias I've had grow very slowly, but they seem very resilient. My anubias nana petite were completely melted, but now they're green as they could ever be.

Also, choice of plants are mostly preference unless your lighting can't sustain their growth.

Anubias grow very slow, although having some broad leaves anubias in your tank are great for fish to sleep on at night, my betta lies on the leaf like a dead fish..... Sideway

There's different kinds. You'll need high light and some need CO2. Dwarf Hair Grass is probably what you're talking about.

If you have low to medium light use javamoss, they can tolerate low light though it will take longer than 2 months for them to carpet

I have some dwarf hairgrass in my tank, they often send runner everyweek in my tank. I think they will do even better in tank with pressurize co2 and highlight, hairgrass is very high maintenant though

I actually prefer the look of a Glossostigma carpet. You have to have high light tho. Low light will make the plant grow higher and "reach for the light." It just doesn't look right after that.

I had some dwarf hairgrass but it is, IMO, a lot of maintenance. I did weekly trims and cleaning up after it was a killer for me since I'm lazy.

Glosso is a great choice but you need very highlight and good amount of co2. They can be high maint too

Depends on the bulbs and how much wattage the fixture can handle to determine how good the lights are. T5 is just the socket type. Link to the light fixtures? I would try to find a light that's 30" so it isn't too short nor too long, but that's just me. You don't need that strong of a light to grow java moss. I have some in a tank that's nearby my 5g tank and it gets a little bit of light, but the java moss in it is growing like crazy!
