i am going to use it like others use a. barteri 'nana petite' around and in between rocks (baoster hooked me up as you suggested). i am disappointed its not a low light carpet option but its something new. what are your going to try instead? the HM you were posting for yesterday?75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

I have crypt parva in my 5g planted tank, and it's spreading nicely, albeit rather slowly. It definitely prefers low light. Mine is not flattened out at all because the lighting is so low.
Good move on trading it out for something else. It won't ever do what you want with the bright lighting you have on the tank.
C. parva is also highly prone to BBA, but it responds very well to the standard excel overdose treatment to clear it out.Vicki
