    I did see some on sale yesterday, thanks. Although, the ones that the Petsmart had by my house were sickly looking. I thought THAT was the reason they were on sale. I'll try another.

        i didnt notice an outbreak until the tank was very mature, maybe 1.5-2 years up. its definately over all the wood and its rooted so u cant even scrape it off

                          Roy's balls have been nothing but awesome, and trouble free...)
                          We've never had a problem with it colonizing, or it browning out w/Excel, but I suppose every tank is different. I did spread one out and attach it w/ thread to a spike of driftwood in the 2g, going for a "tree" effect. It's been there for about a month, but so far, no roots to hold itself. Hopefully it will.
