Fish ranch has beautiful little cardinal tetras right now. They are small but they are 10 for 15 dollars. Not bad for cardinals..

Yea the mh was on, that's the only light I have on the tank. Not any noticeable heat, about 15' away is a window ac unit blowing in that direction (not directly at) so the heat dispenses rather quickly. I'm enjoying it so far, haven't noticed any algae. I did step up dosing small amounts of trace elements and iron to every other day though.

Were those taken with the MH on? The quality of light looks super clean. How do you feel about the upgrade? Do you notice any heat in the house coming from the fixture?

Ill get some pictures in a bit. Yea it has 3 neon tetras, 11 boraras brigittaes, and 10+ endlers. Ill probably take the endlers out starting to see some breading action. I got new substrate, just waiting on a few more pieces and ill be changing it out.Originally posted by aquabee View PostIt looks good but need MOAR PICS! Esp close ups. Forgot I changed my filtration as well. I took the hob and 2232 off and put a 2217 that's jam packed with media and carbon. Lots of flow, little worried it might be too much, some of my plants are starting to sway...

Just a thought...Originally posted by nightster View PostI plan to move it down once I get it back to 8+ hours of light cycle. Right now its at 6 hours and didn't want to shock it too bad.
I'm not sure never really tested my tank so I don't have the kit. That's probably why it died.

It hard to tell from the pics, if it is a lot brighter? If you notice temps stable @ that height, maybe try lowering it an inch until your temps start to rise... seems there's a ton of light wasted on the back wall?

What is the PH in your tank? I was thinking about your male macro dying. I remembered you said that you where using injected Co2. Red claws are not huge fans of low ph levels.
