As I was researching about amazonia and its high ammonia spikes, which means you need to do alot of water changes before you can add fauna there was a site that said that I should first add plants and another site that said I should add plants 3 days after doing constant water changes any advice?

From my reading and conversations with people who've used that substrate, the high ammonia can cause some more delicate plants to melt down. Several water changes were suggested to dilute the ammonia before planting them.

I'd dilute just in case, victor. Remember, ammonia-enriched substrates are designed to be densely planted right away. Given a sufficient plant density, the ammonia may be used fast enough that it isn't an issue.Originally posted by fishman1 View Postwill it melt dwarf hair grass or should i do the water changes just in case?
