  • So, do yall remember this tank?

Yall remember making fun of the petrified rock tank. Ya know the one yall thought was morbid looking. This is what happens when you put a few plants in it, and then forget about it...TIME TO TRIM! No ferts, no cO2, 15 watt bulbs, and a lot of guppies and shrimp. I think its pretty cool for a kids tank. And low fuss.

Not bad for not using ferts or co2. Good growth.

Just regular black sand, no ferts or ada soil or other such plant substrate. I am quite happy with the way the tank has turned out. I am currently setting up another natural planted with a little more aquascapping to it. Trying to get the plants set up right in their growth. I have a few that don't want to go in the direction I want them too...they just going EVERYWHERE. But with a little pruning, and some thread, I think I am getting them in the right direction for the moment...lol.

The sag. I will cut back a runner, and then it just shoots off two more accross the tank, and keep trying to take over. I already trimmed about 30 plantlet on a few runners about 2 weeks ago. It really likes my tank for some reason.

He got all the frame making stuff, just no time. Its calving season, and the cows have had us busy. Along with cutting hay, and putting up new fences, and cross fences. So No...he hasn't, and believe me I keep pestering him about it!

No let me in on this green dracula thing..where? huh? I don't see him. And yes I am proud of the tank. Its my first planted tank that has actually done good. And I didn't do much to it

I think Geoff is talking about the green, plastic teeth sitting on the stand in front of the tank. :)
