Don't know if I'd call either one "planted". They both look like little tanks with a couple plants tossed in.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

In tank #1, the white rock in the middle is very distracting. and the "moss" ball....well you will get what you ask for when you purposfully put algae in the tank. good luck with that. The stems on the side should be more centrally located as well as the windolov fern. The wood-rock-wood creates a triangle that slopes from right to left and if you keep the rock you plants should complement that slope.

In tank #2, the manzinita looks out of place coming out of the rock like it is. Once the swords grow out it will look better but you will have void in the front of the tank. Mid to low growing plants will fix this.

      Just my opinion.
