Do you guys have Seachem Stability over there? It helps you add fish even while the tank is cycling

I've had great luck with Stability, you must dose daily as instructed

                  Re: Tysons livebearer's thread

Btw, adding old tank water won't help much because water hosts almost no bacteria. Old substrate or filter media would be better

                      Re: Tysons livebearer's thread

I actually add fish the same day and keep using Stability for two weeks or until I read zero ammonia and nitrites when I test water quality. Adding an old filter will make the process go by faster

                        Re: Tysons livebearer's thread

but wouldnt my ammonia be reading zero already since its a new tank or would stability bring that up? wouldnt that harm fish being in there?

                        cheers

I'm talking about once the fish are in, continue with Stability till ammonia and nitrites go to zero.

You can add them, and do a small weekly water change and build up to 50% or more weekly water change.
