If you get the fx5, leave the 406 on there for a few weeks so your tank won't re-cycle

Two fx5 would work great. Run both of them if you decide to get two.

Trade out the 406 for an fx5 or an eheim 2260/2. You'll see a huge difference. I'd only put a 406 on a 55gal and under tank.

    thanks
there all eating lots of fresh veggies thats for sure. Touch wood , they are pretty healthy.
Water parameter on the other has been not so pleasent. I have been over feeding my tank with to much fresh food that has been polluting my tank and caused a small .25 ammonia spike. I got it under control with 2 water changes this week and 1 day with no feeding. Ive been a little to generous lol.

Il be cutting back on my feeding , Il mix up algee wafers and fresh food just to keep the water under control. If anyone has tips for me that would be great, like 5 days feeding ? 2 off ?

Also on another note , im not that happy with the water flow my 406 is giving me. Being a long 6ft tank i have 1 intake and outlet on each end and i just dont think its doing a good job , i do have a sponge filter powered by air also which isnt really doing much. Im considering adding a second 406 and have 2 the setup complete inlet/outlet on each end of the tank ? Or would it be worth just going a powerhead on the outlet side of the tank to push the water down? But in saying this im happy to buy a second filter for backup and when changing water etc

Thanks here are some more pics

The pictures aren't that bad. I don't have a camera. I use my wifes I pad to take pictures. Its not going to get mikro shots but it gets the point across.

Fake plants are a good thing. I have live plants all around my fake plants.
