      Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

Tomorrow is the last day to get in on the group order.
Show me the Money................. or miss out on this deal.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

fill the tank and cycle it for 2 weeks before tuesday......
good thing I have a lot of dirty old HOB filters

still looking for a good deal on a HOT Magnum

                Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

Shipment arrived today.  Each Betta in its own bag.  All in good health.
We did our best to identify males vs females but when I put them in their tank they all looked the same.
Now I just need to feed them large quanities and often.

                  Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

I just checked on my guys this morning and all are fine. My "females" colored up before they made it into the tank; tricky little buggers aren't they? They're really inquisitive and watch me as much as I watch them. They're a very regal looking fish.

                        Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

I cheat, put them in a 4"x4"x8" tall beannie box and they can't do that.
Mine didn't know what to do with frozen brine shrimp last night, but they sure tore up the skeeters I gave them today.

                          Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

These are the best I could get so far. They're not great, but these little guys are giving me about much trouble as my male Lithobates(I'm about 0-100 on him).

My 30g MAC tank.  drift wood, java fern, java moss, dual 40 HOB filters,  R/O water, pH 6.0
Boy do they love skeeters.  These guys are only half grown, just wait 'till they get to 5"

                                Re: BETTA MACROSTOMA

The Stand, Tank, glass cover & light all came from fellow boxers.  That and the MACs were all that I had to buy.
& the driftwood / plants, I borrowed from other tanks.
The R/O system has been sitting in my round2it pile for over a year.
Found the gravel in a 5g bucket that's been in the back yard since I moved 18 months ago
And when I checked my box of surplus fishy items, I found a couple of HOBs & over half a jar of Kent low pH (6.0) stabalizer from my flax & picta tanks in 2005.
