Re: Water changes
Okay, my one little betta is in a 75g community tank. He gets a 50% water change each week. HOWEVER, when he was in a 20g community tank a few months ago. My family went through some serious health problems. I was trying to get my human kids healthy 24 hours. So that tank went a very long time without being clean. I'm sure he didn't appreciate it but he did okay. So I think if you are on a regular scheduled water change 50%-100% as long as it's routine I think you'll have healthy fish.
I've got a question though. Those little cups from the pet store (cringe) how do you do a water change for those? I'm trying to set up a planted tank. And would like to get two females while I'm setting everything up. Do I change the water around them? Or do I do a fast grab out, water change swap and stick them back in. Okay this might be a ridiculous question, but I just don't get how they keep that water clean in those little cups.
Thanks
