Lucky is winning all the black male & female classes this year.
Richard won whites last year and Best of Show.
Some of our members are starting to breed coppers but none have won any shows yet.

I have put a message on their board and asked if they had any females for sale

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Juicy, my 3 have stayed quite civilized and even hang out around each other. They look kinda shaggy right now due to some wild livebearers I had in there that tore them up. However, I'd love to have a huge group of female bettas. I think it's great that you've been so successful with yours. Keep us up to date if they fight or anything and you have to remove anyone : )

Hey! So...I was sitting here in Dallas looking at my 30 gal with the 3 female bettas...and I REALLY want to add some more and have a semi-sorority tank like yours (it's such a great idea!!!).

How should I start adding them? Just one at a time? 2?

No one has been beating up on each other, but I did just witness some flaring between two of the girls. There wasn't any nipping, just innocent flaring. So it's okay to add more, right?

                Re: Sorority Tank PIX!

You should have no problems if you have plenty of plants and other hiding places in your tank.
But it never hurts to rearange everything so the old girls have to look for a new home also.

I'll probably need to add more plants, then. My plants are a little scarce in this tank

                  Thank you, though!

I just purchased a beautiful white female today. Gl with your gorgeous females.
