maybe try a shrimp trap like used for saltwater tanks? you put food in and they cant get back out due to the design of the opening. since the berried females and juveniles prolly wont go to the trap you will need to do this every few weeks. water is right, but at the ratio 5females 2 males it will be hard. the last dead shrimp i took out was about 3 weeks ago.
