  • Carbon tank or RO/DI system for shrimp

I will be keeping multiple varieties of shrimp some of which are very expensive. Should I stick with the carbon bottle or purchase something like this to help with the TDS and chloramines? So, basically the most important things are TDS, ammonia, lack of chlorine and chloramines. I know there is a TDS measuring tool but how do I measure GH and KH? Thanks for your help!!!!!

I dont have all of these but many are on my wanted list and some are quite expensive so I want to buy the right equipment.

I would run both, the carbon bottle would allow more life from your ro/di membranes.

the RO/DI unit that he is looking at (in the link above) has a catalytic carbon filter as its first stage so that sounds like a good upgrade

It is but the extra carbon bottle doesn't hurt.

You mean like use a twig and find water in ground and dig your own spring?
