I'm following in szidlon's footsteps... spreading them to all of my tank first.

You're like me, when I get to 200, I might, and that's a big might, consider selling some of mine.

My assassins really like Seachem's Fly Larvae (they are the only thing that really like them). I'm approaching 100 now. :) They get raw zucchini on a regular basis too.

I think these coupled with the YoYo Loaches make an unbeatable team.

The assassins drive the MTS out the substrate and the Yoyo's knock'em out!

Dun worry... they'll eat fish food also... flakes, pellets... anything meaty.

They will eat algae and food scraps like other snails but, they like protein in their diet so if you feed beefheart or bloodworms or other packaged food that's high in protein they'll be even happier. Mine love beefheart but will also snack on wafers or just about anything else I put in there, they just prefer other snails and there's no danger of my ever running out of MTS's .

All my pond snails and ramshorns have vanished after adding 8 assasins to my 75! I'm starting to worry if they'll have enough to eat now...

You're quite welcome, it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it .

I already threw out the shell... but the nerite was moving until it encountered an assassin.

Tim, can you try and smell the nerite that the assassin was going after?

Like their saltwater counterpart the Nassarius snail it might be just going after a snail that's dying.

They lay lot of eggs, but very few are actually fertile. You can probably expect one or two babies, per pair, a month. You will not be able to replace your 401K with an assassin snail business, and they grow at a snails pace. They seem to have a growing spurt around 1/4 inch. I've been gradually moving my little killers around when they look big enough, to where they are needed the most, which in my tanks, is almost everywhere.
