I've heard mixed thing about them. Mostly good, but enough bad that I wouldn't chance it with them.

I have no experience with them myself, but have heard it's a decent outfit to do business with....I try to avoid retail prices if at all possible.

Some people feel the silicone runs are not as nice as they should be.  That is the only thing I have heard bad.  I know that there are people here who have installed 300g tanks in their house made by glasscages.com

              Re: glasscages.com

glasscages.com build everything in Tennessee and they have a truck that drives rotational out to different cities and drops off the tanks.
I believe the person who had their tank installed in Sugarland had them drive it to his door and drop it off..

Its all explained on their website.

Well I dont know.. I am sure that if you tell them that the 200+ gallon tank needs to be dropped off at your door stop it would prolly happen :)

                    Re: glasscages.com

If you search through some popular aquaria forums you will find a lot of posts from people who've used them.  Basically from what I've seen if you order and everything goes as planned you end up with a good aquarium for a nice price.  However, I've seen a lot of complaints that say they basically try to get out of fixing mistakes.  Most of the mistakes I've read about have to do with custom requests such as holes drilled in certain spots, etc. (something they say they will do on their website.)  I've seen more positive stuff than negative.  It is tempting to take a chance on them because it is hard (if not impossible) to find better prices.  I'm considering it myself.

Contact Peter (peterp63) and he is the guy who has the 300 gallon made by them and he loves it.

He told me the only problem he had was something to do with the custom holes he wanted drilled, but other than that the tank is great, no issues...

I've actually thought of getting one from them myself.  When I spoke to the lady on the phone she said that she has a truck that delivers to Houston nearly every week.

                        Re: glasscages.com

I bought some lids from them, and some clear hinges for the lids. What I got was nice enough (and it was shipped to my door becasue it was small), but I found them a bit of a pain to deal with. I had to go in to great depth about what I wanted. Maybe they didn't want to put effort into a comparatively small sale, but I am not sure I would want to go through that hassle if I were buying a big ticket item.

Just don't ask them about the quality of their work.  They take it very personally.

good to know about the local truck, thre price for the 240 is very nice.

funny all the bad reviews are only that the seal is bad, not that any have burst. Considering if im not mistaken they are made by hand, pls correct me if I am wrong but wht do you expect. However I wouldnt chance it on my own but would surely come to your house and check it out if one was to purchase one.

                            just my 2 cents.
oh that........ thats just my 300 gallon fish tank, nothing fancy.

You might not know this but Fish Ranch (Charles) and Fish Land have prices that are comp if not better on the tanks if you include FOB. But if you want the odd ball sizes then I agree the prices are very good.
