no not my tank. a friend of mine had a used Universal 200 gallon tank that start leaking last night/this morning in the bottom right near the corner. Just out of reach of placing something to catch the water. So i get the call around 11:30 that he needed my help..so as a hobbyist i made that drive to his house. he lives off the beltway and i-10 east.
get to his house and the tank is about half full of water with a steady leak. So first we being to remove all the holey rock he had in the tank (close to 500 pounds). Lucky he didnt have sand nor rocks substrate. In a emergency use the near exit. in our case it was a window lol... after that ordeal we siphon the water out and caught all of his fish. he have about 50 mix cichlids in his tank . I talked to his wife because she ran to walmart to get some containers and battery pumps. She was pissed that 5 large containers and 5 battery pumps cost over $100 dollars. LOL
Anyway when she made it back we had the rocks out and start transferring fish. Guess what! She didnt buy any batteries for the pumps lol..the look on her face as she left out the door lol. We moved the tank and stands to the gararge. We left the tank on the stand since he have to buy a new one he might as well get the whole package.
We use furniture dollys to move the tank..as soon as we took the tank of the last dolly....the whole back glass cracked and shatter.
I left....i was tired from working out and I didnt want to face his wife when she could not park the car in the garage tonight.
if you cannot understand......it's 2:45 am and I'm tired.....goodnight!
