    Swap Meet? Bring and Buy Sale?

    So I know there are auctions and stuff. But I haven't joined any of the clubs  (yet). But I have excess stuff I need to get rid of! I have quite a lot, and will have even more in a few days when my lighting upgrade project is done. Its not like I can put on AquaBid or eBay - that's too much buggerin about with packing and shipping!

    So what about a Houston Fish Box swap meet? People can bring stuff to swap and/or sell. Sellers put a coupla bucks in and that goes to paying the host or to HoustonFishBox. Not sure it would be fare to let a LFS host (unless you let each one host one). In fact I would be prepared to use my shop to host one (its not fish related in any way). Mine is quite small, and is on NW side of town....What do you think guys?

    Russ, it's an interesting idea, and at first thought, I don't see any immediate reason why we couldn't. I suggest you bring this idea to the club officers and let them mull it over.

      We actually used to have a monthly swap n sell with the Lake Houston Aquarists. If someone sets up another one i'll definitely attend.

        We talked about this at the GHAC meeting last month.  The majority of those members in attendance agreed it would be nice to have one.  To be scheduled in May.

              Not sure of the Swap-N-Sell location in May.  We will probably have a couple this year.  Everyone will be welcome, but I don't think we plan to move it from one extreme location to another neccessarily.  I was just thought I would mention that we will be having this event in May if you were interested.  Nothing stopping you or others organizing one of your own.

                  Dang, id hate to drive to San Antonio for a swap sell. It would be like driving to Huntsville for a christmas party... :P
