A big plecostomus can be reckless. I would keep it in a well-oxygenated tank with good filtration. It may grow another 8 inches.

I've seen these huge pleco at LFS. They do nothing but sitting still like an aquarium decoration. I think it get along well with some giant fish like Oscar or alligator gar, or peacock bass.

I've heard people fishing them out of local bayou. Wondering if they are good eating? lol.

we have an oscar but he has been in a 55 by him self for 8-9 months with snails and stuff as live food and shrimp pelits
could i put him in with the pleco he is about 9 inches and 9-10 months old
