Re: Tetra Water Wonders
I think it was around $35
If I did plants, it would probably be java moss and ferns, easy lowlight stuff.
I'll have to look up that odyssea setup.
Edit: do you have a link to that odyssea one? I cant find it online...

Re: Tetra Water Wonders
That looks like it would be a cheap and easy tank to turn into a really cool nano-tank. You could get one of those clip on compact fluorescent lights that has about 10 watts and it would be perfect for java fern/moss.
Just kind of curious about how many gph that built-in filter pushes, also does it come with a heater?

Re: Tetra Water Wonders
well I decided what the heck and went and bought it.
quality seems pretty good.
the light it came with isnt LED its actually a 10 watt halogen... anyone know if that would be any good with low light plants?
the pump is the tetra whisper micro filter that uses the medium filter pads, its their smallest model that uses an impeller pump and not air bubbles
I also bought a little heater.
now I just need to figure out what to stock it with.... I'll haveta make another thread for that.

Re: Tetra Water Wonders
probably wouldnt need the heater for shrimp...
I was alread leaning towards something like rauls idea and maybe eventually after the plants have filled in a bit get a beta or some other centerpiece fish to keep the tank from getting overpopulated with shrimp
