Sunny, I'm sensing a little bitterness in your words. I wasn't knocking the box at all, I use it all the time to search old threads and I recommend it all the time on the Cichlid Club page. But the fact of the matter is, most beginners don't want to sign up for the box, nor do they find it easy to use. The facebook page is simple. Nearly everyone is on Facebook anyway, so now they can post their questions and pictures while they're already on

LOL, I enjoy the FB pages. They are just not the format I prefer when giving advice and I can get a bit long on my posts. I try and enjoy it for what it is and direct folks to more searchable formats for more specific questions that require complicated and in depth knowledge. I'm on far too many forums though, so I guess I'm used to the format and the manner to get to the info I want/need. The Planted Tank, Dendroboards, NANFA, Shrimp Now, ect....In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

You don't understand, I've recommended it time and time again, but like I said, Facebook is more easily accessible, and people want convenience. Not one person I've told to join HFB has, but when I tell people to join the Facebook page, I get a request almost immediately

LOL, we have done the same. Occasionally folks will try it for a bit and occasionally come on for something specific. It is funny that when I try searching stuff on the net I find links to HFB. I just never thought in a million years it would be here and lo and behold... Its really a treasure for local folks. Anything they have had to deal with is usually discussed on here somewhere and has a ton of info.In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
