Congrats new home and new fish room, what the good size of the fish room. I think you should paint 1/3 bottom light brown and 2/3 top white or base and small molding between. It will make bigger . On the stand, I think you should build a L shape tank with size wide 26 inch and 40inch tall and long as you can ( Use 2X4 or 2X6 and deck board for the top and bottom). As you 11'x11' you can have 6 tanks on top ( 4 of 4 feet and one or 2 less than 4 feet) and the bottom you can put 6 to 8 of 40 Gal for breed ( that reason why stand have 40inch high) The stand , should 1.5 feet from the wall so you can easy work on the back of the tank (filter or water change system) one more important is don't put tank by windows it make allege grown fast and you should put small windows fan at the window to keep the moisture out of the room ( protect sheetrock and AC of the house) Good luck and love see it when you finish.

The top 3 tanks are gonna be some type of African tanks the bottom 3 are gonna be my planted shrimp tanks ran with sponge filters

Ok so update I've been so busy with everything else lately that I stopped working on the fish room well I got on it today with my brother in law Stephen he came over and I would say helped me but he did most of the work and got the stand built for the six 20L's it's not finished yet still gotta trim out the front and paint it but it's major progress
