  • 135 gallon stocking ideas

I want a tank that I can grow out my fish and keep them for the long run. I was thinking about doing 3 Texas cichlids, 1 peacock bass, 3 jack dempseys, 2 red devils, and a Weeksii birchir.

Im also a frontosa guy. I was thinking 4 frontosa(1 male, 3 female), 3 red peacock cichlids, 3 venustus, 3 yellowfin boyleri.

are these fish that you like and plan to keep for awhile? because I'm curious as to how the dempseys and red devils will get along but good luck that peacock is gonna catch he!! until it gets bigger if it lives long enough but good luck and glad to see you found a tank that works for you and good luck on the wet/dry your building

I scrap your first choices and go with the frontosa's.

      Fronts
      Clown Loaches

Put in a nice rock scape and sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

And stop thinking Peacock Bass. They will outgrow your tank with the other livestock. I could see just one Pbass but then he won't be able to turn around easily. Unless you are planning to go big?

Also weeksii is kind of hard to find here in Houston. You'd have to get someone to ship it to you and generally they ship WC or adults, meaning you'd have to pay some $$ and I would think it is about $50+ for the fish and some more for shipping. Either that or get Xtreme or Unlimited to import them. I've never seen them import anything other than senegal, ornate, endli, or delhezi though.

Hit up ballinalex. I think he's selling his front group still. Loaches, go to city pets.

But my parents are saying," o get something more colorful" and it's annoying me! What can I do for color in this tank?

Fronts don't turn green. I have to offer up the route of the active tropical community tank or Malawi community tank.

Tropical community - 60-70 fish easy depending on type.

Malawi community tank - 30-35 fish easy.

These numbers are also based on proper filtration and feeding. Feel free to PM if you need.
