Hey everyone, got my 30g up and running, planted and everything. But no fish. I am wanting to do a SA biotope and am looking for ideas. One type of fish that I have always liked are Emperor Tetras, so I know I will have a few of those. If you can think of any interesting colorful fish, or strange smaller bottom dwellers, please share. I am also interested in knowing what a good small type Pleco would be for this tank. Cant wait to hear some ideas!

This is a really cool and now a days uncommon SA Cichlid. It goes by various names Red Flag Cichlid; Red Laetacara; Redbreasted Acara (Laetacara dorsigera). Houston Aquatic's has them right now under the name of "Curviceps" which is anther variety of Laetacara the two often get confused until you see their colors come out. Peaceful, shy bottom level fish (3-4") that does not destroy plants and it does well in community set ups with other non agressive species, so they should do great with Emperor Tetras. Google the latin name for losts of pic's, this is a fish that has the ability of changing colors.
