I was able to just barely make the lights fit today. The problem was on the inside of canopy...basically the pieces of wood nailed to the inside of canopy that allow the canopy to sit on top of the tank took up too much space. These pieces were 24" long, full length of tank front to back, which isn't necessary so I cut a 10" notch out of it on each end. This gave me just enough room to fit both lights in the tank.

I have (2) 36" aqua light coralife lunar fixtures. Each one come with (4) HO t5 lights, 2 actinic and 2 10k, and 2 led moon lights. Right now I'm only running the 10k on each fixture and one set of moon lights. I ordered 4 18k bulbs to replace the actinic. I find these still give you a lighter blue, some call a hyper white.

Couldn't get a pic of this guy the other day. I originally bought him for my tank at home, but the wife didn't care for him so when I started treatment for blout the other day I move him to the store tank.

            update with stocklist and issues:

            (4) Labidochromis caeruleus - "yellow lab"
            (3) Labidochromis sp. "perlmutt" - "yellow bar"
            (3) placidochromis sp. phenochilus
            (2) Fossorochromis rostratus - "Malawi Sand Diver"
            (1) aulonocara jacobfreibergi - "eureka red"
            (1) Dimidiochromis compressiceps - eye biter
            (3) Chromobotia macracanthus - "clown loach"
            (1) synodontis brichardi (who had gone MIA since entering the tank)
            (1) Albino Gibbiceps pleco

Some issues I am still trying to figure out.

            1) Walked in today and noticed the tank temperature was 85.5*. I immediately unplugged the the heaters but that didnt seem to be the problem as the tempurature has not dropped at all. I also thought it might be the room tempurature at night because it is set to 85* when the store closes. However, the store has been at 69* for the past 3 hours and again no temp change. Only thing I can think of is possibly the lights or motors from the filters? Not really sure. The weirdest part is that the tank had been running about 82* with the heaters set at 80*. On Friday I changed the heater temp to 78* and now the temp is even higher. I double checked the heaters to make sure i set them correctly and they are on 78.

            2) My second problem is that I can not get my eheim 2262 to stop blowing bubbles every 15-30mins. The intake is coming through a durso pipe in my overflow but I cant figure out where the air is getting in.

            3) despite having 3 large filters on this tank I still have floating particles.

What I did in my tank was to take the heaters off I don't use them bc the big eheim filters produce enough heat and the water stays at a constant 80. Also what kind of lights are you running and how long do you leave them on?

I am starting to suspect the lights are part of the issue. I have 2 36" Lunar Aqualight Coralife lights on from 9am-8pm each day. When the tank was running at 81-82* I had (2)10,000k bulbs and (2) Actinic in each figure. I recently switched out all the actinic bulbs for 18,000K, so that could have added heat.

The heaters have been unplugged since I got to work and the temp didnt change at all for an hour. Then I opened the Canopy lid and glass tops. Within 2 hour the temp dropped from 85.2 to 83.9. What I find hard to believe is that the lights bumped up the temp of a 200g tank 4* within an hour of kicking on.

Is there a cooling fan in the canopy? If not you may want to get one. Does the store open on the weekends or does it set at 85. all weekend? 200g of water will hold heat very well. If the tank was in a room at 85. the tank will get that hot in time. and its easier to heat the water up then to cool it.

store is open 7 days a week, so its only set at 85 from around 8pm to 9am. I changed the thermostat today so it wont go above 83*.

                        Very nice looking tank.

Need to turn about 15 clown loaches loose in it. My colony would love a tank that size.

If you set your a/c to 85 there shouldn't be a problem. The temp outside shouldn't get up higher at night so it won't cut on. If you have it on heater mode at 85 then yeah, that's your problem, but I doubt that you have it on heat. I would eliminate that from your possible problems. I'm thinking it's the lights plus the 3 big filters. Those filters put out a good amount of heat.

You shouldn't need to unplug the heaters. They won't heat more than what the temp on them are set to. 78* would be good to have it set at. Have you checked the heaters to see if there is any damages on it? It could possibly be broken. If that's the case, that is possibly why your tank is getting overheated.

                            agreed on the ambient temp.

I only unplugged the heaters in case they were overheating from a glitch or bad thermostat. That does not appear to be the issue since the temp didnt change at all after unplugging them first thing this morning.

The canopy does not have a fan so that is probably the issue.

Could be. There's also the filters that put out a lot of heat.

I added a fan to my wet dry to help keep the water cool. I'm at 80-81f and I'm not running a heater on my tank.
