    Re: Kordon breathing bags?

Yeah, I talked to guppymax about them and he said that they used them in one of the auctions (?) to ship fish. They just boxed them in packing peanuts to keep the air flowing. He seemed to be very happy with them also!

I ship livebearers and shrimp in Breather Bags all the time with great results.
It doesn't work very well with larger fish with hard spines (like discus), which tend to puncture the bag.

        Re: Kordon breathing bags?

I first heard about them a couple of months ago when I had 20+ tadpoles shipped to me thinking they were too good to be true. Three days in transit and they were all still flagellating when they got to me. Just recently had over 20+ shrimp shipped to me and they were all kicking as well. Maybe the reason these bags have been so overlooked is because commercial industry is afraid of these catching on and letting trade flourish between hobbyist who normally don't have access to supplies like oxygen tanks therefore cutting them out of the loop. Or maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist. *readjusts tinfoil hat*

I was looking at some prices for the bags, and saw a "breathing bag liner." But there's no picture...I'm not quite understanding the concept. It says it's for lining the box which contains the breathing bags. Here's a link:

Is it just a box liner made out of the same material, or what?

hmmmm, as many people that believe there is a conspiracy out there, there does have to be at least a few that are real

From the description it's suppose to protect the breather bags while offering one half as breathability of the breather bags and 3.0 mil thick.

ive received fish in these bags (grass pike and peacock bass around 4 inches) shipped from up north. i think they spent close to 48 hrs in the bag and they arrived just fine.  im not sure how it works but when they bag it, they dont bag it with air.. just water.
