Stupid new ipad... meant to say cavitate.

well poo I am going to have to find some extenders to get the screens above the sand... need to find foams to fit them 1 1/2" beasts too...

Just use the cone strainers they sell at city pets. A small extender or coupler would work and hide it amongst the rocks ...you could paint it with krylon fushion to better mask it. A quick swipe with some sand paper beforehand goes a long way.

Ive already got the screens... Just need the thread/thread 1 1/2" extenders.... I wanted to put foams on to keep crap out of the pump and it would be a high powered foam filter lol

You could build a reactor or pipe bomb thing inline to collect the sand

A larger diameter pipe inline. Like a reactor but just for collecting sand and detritus....positioned lower than the rest of the piping and pump
