  • Remember the Fluidized Bed Filters?

Well not too long ago, in a galaxy far far away, I got one when I picked one of my used tanks. I'm going to be looking over the net here soon to find out what I can about them. My question for you all is, have any of you used them for any length of time? Where they something you liked or where they more trouble than they are worth?
I was thinking of installing this one on one of my tanks and was wondering what to use to power it. It has a LINE IN - LINE OUT tube on the top, and appears to be ready to install.

Any comments on these "NOT TO POPULAR" filters?

    Thanks

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

It is actually popular for saltwater people....in SW tanks they used thick sand beds to fitrate the water.

You could change up the media with purigen to clean/polish the water, use crushed coral in it to help buffer the water for cichlids or even use it for a planted tank as a co2 reactor.
