Keep the treatment going for at least a week or till the bottle is done on that big tank.

You want to make sure you get all the free swimming. Do water change and treat for a few more days after all that and try to siphon against the substrate.

Amazingly enough, after a little over 24 hours and 3 treatments of the Kordon organic Ich Attack, and salt/temp increase, almost all the spots are gone off the sickest geo, and the other affected geo is back to normal. All are active and eating and even killed an emperor. Although it could actually have been the large male red scalare... Who knows.

Thanks! Table shrimp is just boiled/cooked cocktail shrimp, right? Looks like I have some blending to do.

one thing thats worked in the ast for me is to get table shrimp, and baby spinich leaves.
Blend like 5-10 shrimp with 10 or so spinach leaves, and add 3-5ml of kents garlic xtreme and freeze it flat wrapped in seran wrap.
just break off little chunks like shrimp mix.

Thanks Tater, it's reassuring to hear about your personal experience. I'd already done everything you recommended so now it's just watchful waiting. This morning the sicker of the 2 affected geos didn't eat at all but tonight she took a little frozen mysis/brine/spirulina. Just 1 or 2 bites, but that was good enough for now I think.

For geos with ich I've always done 1tablespoon of powdered Epson salt per 10g. Of tank volume with organic rid ich, and raise temp to 86-88 degrees, use circ pumps aimed at surface for gas Exchange.

Usually goes away after a week, but don't stop treatment until Atleast 7 days after you stop seeing signs of ich, it can and usually does come back.

The powdered Epson salt is more used for offsetting neotropical bloat which is basically the sa version of Tropheus getting bloat.

Geos are very susceptible to getting this disease and it usually comes while fighting another disease that is lowering their immune system.
