I was just sitting in my office chair looking over my three tanks in the "fish room" and something caught my eye in the corner of one of my tanks. At first I thought it was some kind of cloud of fish scum or something, but after focusing on the area, it turns out that the Cedar Point Gang, that's what I call my 6 brichardi, due to the fact, that they like to chase and harass any and all tank mates, anyway, a couple of them have found time to get busy setting up shop in the 75 gallon show tank.
The fry appear to be very young as they are only about 1/8th of an inch in length and are barely visible as baby fish. There seems to be about 50 of them at this point, but it's really hard to tell. The parents are hard to decide, due to the fact, that it appears several of the gang is on duty "fry sitting" at any one time. I'm hoping to get at least half of them to double or triple their size by the end of the month, we'll see.
I'm attempting to get flake food down to them and I am using the smallest New Life pellets I have. I'm going to try the baby brine shimp hatchery I have and see if I can get some of them down to the fry.
