i'm up to the third generation at this point . . . and have little babies swimming around for the first time without me pulling my spawning mops into another tank.

So out of the 9 or so that hatched in the net, 3 survived. I am afraid to just let them swim free because I think my rainbows will eat them quickly. They are growing slowly though. Feeding them ground fish food and frozen bbs. Just got some more eggs today, so we will see how many survive of this batch. Trying to get a larger group of them, as they seem to do better in San Antonio tap water than the rainbows have been.

Mine just started breeding earlier this month. I put the eggs in a breeder net since I don't have another tank set up yet, and they are hatched and swimming around. It is really cool, and they seem to be eating well. I have been feeding them finely ground fish flakes and they are growing and healthy looking. How fast do they grow? Wondering when I dare let them out into the rest of the tank.

I'm up to about 7 fry as the result of randomly moving the mops to other tanks.

I apologize for the English, perhaps you'll understand.

O. woworae I have a half years, a group of 10 pieces. The first eggs started to spike in June. To date I have collected about 700 eggs. Of these, about 90% of eggs OK. Most of the eggs I sold. I only have about 30 pieces of fry.
Fish lay eggs in the mop once every 2-3 days and take some sezbírám eggs into a small plastic box with lid.
If you want to breed young fish, just mop forward to another empty tank.

Probably microorganisms living in the planted tank. I'm not feeding them anything.

You'll need to find someon with better camera skills than I . . . they are TINY! The only reason I saw them was because of movement.
