    Looking for Kuhli Loaches, and Furcata Rainbowfish

    Anyone seen any around town? I've tried a couple stores, but the best I've gotten so far was "might get some in this week, weather depending". For the kuhli's, I'm looking for the striped kind, not the all-black variety I've seen around more lately.

    I need 'em before Sunday ... tank is cycled and ready, and V-day approaches!

    My best stab at the proper names:
    Pseudomugil furcatus
    Pangio kuhlii

    I know the feeling, I have been keeping an eye out for striped kuhli's for a few years now and it seems that the balck is all anyone has anymore. I know I remember a day when I could find 2-3 different types in nearly every fish shop. I will keep an eye out for them and post should I spot them anywhere...

      A few years ago, a bag of 4 khuli loaches sold for about $80.00! City Pets USED to sell them as low as $2.99. I have some, but they are not for sale. I'll keep an eye out for you though.

        The fish store on 59 N at Tidwell usually has some striped Kuhli Loaches. I think it's called Fish Land?

                Well, 15 phone calls but no luck before Valentine's!

                I'm definitely looking forward to the HAS auction this weekend, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for some Kuhli's there!!

                    I saw some in Austin for $5 each a while back, but alas wasn't shopping then. That's a more typical price (when they're availale!!)
